COVID-19 Update

Greetings to our amazing Clark Pediatric Dental Group patients and families!

For your peace of mind, we wanted to share some of the COVID-related changes in our office, so you know what to expect at your next visit.

Upon Your Arrival at the Office

A staff member will ask a few questions about the health of the patient and immediate family members and take each person’s temperature. Anyone with a temperature over 99.0 will have to be evaluated by a doctor before entering the office.

For now, we ask that only ONE parent enter the building per family being seen, and no other siblings without appointments come inside. This is to help maintain proper social distancing.

Any parent that enters the building will be required to wear a face mask that covers the nose and mouth. We also require all children ages three and up to wear a mask to their appointment. Unfortunately, due to shortages of masks, we will be unable to provide a face mask/covering for you. If you come to the appointment without your mask, you will be asked to wait in the car or reschedule.

During Your Appointment

For new patient exams, one parent wearing a face mask may walk to the hygiene area with the patient and remain with the patient for the duration of the appointment.

For children ages four and older for checkups and cleanings, we will ask that only the patient walk to the hygiene area. Parents will be asked to wait in the car.

For all restorative procedures (fillings) for children ages seven and older, we will ask that only the patient go to the treatment room. Parents will be asked to wait in the car. This is due to the aerosol that is generated during the procedure. There are many new protective measures recommended by the ADA and CDC to prevent the potential spread of COVID, including to limit the number of persons present in the room during restorative procedures. We have new personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines to protect your child and ourselves.

We ask you to please continue to give us grace as we attempt to navigate these uncharted waters. Please be patient, we are trying to offer appointments to as many children as possible, as soon as possible, in the safest way possible.

Please confirm and attend your appointment. We have a lot of children that need care, and your appointment is reserved just for your child. If you do not come to your scheduled appointment, another child misses the opportunity to be seen. Unconfirmed appointments may be cancelled, and the appointment time will be given to another child. If you show up to a cancelled appointment, you will be treated as a walk-in. You will have to wait, and we will not be able to guarantee your child will be seen.

We also realize that many of you have been impacted financially during this outbreak, and we remain in-network with most major insurance companies. We also continue to offer financing through Care Credit.
